What is the difference between rated energy and stage voltage?

Rated energy is given in kJ; stage voltage is given in kV. They describe different system characteristics and are not interchangeable.

Are lightning and switching impulses identical?

No. The source lists a 1.2/50 µs lightning impulse and a 250/2500 µs switching impulse. State the required waveform and test procedure when enquiring.
