Continuous Lead Sheathing · Type YQL-150/5

Lead Sheathing Extruder

For continuous lead sheathing of power cables. The system combines lead melting, holding and extrusion, with die configuration selected according to the cable size.

KINGSTRONG connects overseas cable manufacturers with machinery partners in China for machine sourcing and technical coordination.

Lead sheathing extruder with a vertical extrusion assembly and side-mounted motor

YQL-150/5 Reference Data

Specifications from the KINGSTRONG product sheet
Screw diameter150 mm
Screw speed9–15 rpm
Extrusion output15–35 kg/min
Lead melting furnace18 t
Lead holding furnace10 t

These values describe the reference model, not every available configuration. Confirm the proposed output and scope against your cable design and agreed technical specification.

Confirm the Configuration

The product sheet also lists YQL-200/5, YQL-120/5 and YQL-100/5. Do not apply the YQL-150/5 data to these models without a model-specific specification.

Die selection needs a separate review of the cable dimensions and required sheath. The die-size ranges in the product sheet are not presented here as a confirmed finished-cable diameter range.

Pay-off, take-up, cooling, controls and installation interfaces should be identified in the quotation, including any customer-supplied items.

What to Send for a Lead Sheathing Quotation

A few representative cable designs make the initial configuration review more useful.

  1. Cable Construction

Cross-section drawing, incoming cable diameter and the product range to be covered.

  2. Lead Sheath Requirements

Material grade, nominal and minimum thickness, finished dimensions and tolerances.

  3. Production Target

Required output and target line speed for each representative cable size.

  4. Reels and Line Interfaces

Pay-off and take-up reel dimensions, loaded weights, line direction and existing machinery interfaces.

  5. Site and Supply Scope

Available layout, utilities and site requirements; identify the machines and services to be included.

  6. Quality and Acceptance

Applicable cable specification, trial materials, required inspections and proposed acceptance criteria.

Lead Sheathing Questions

Does the stated output guarantee a particular line speed?

No. The product sheet gives extrusion output in kg/min. A production speed in m/min needs a separate review of the sheath dimensions, material and proposed line configuration.

Is a complete line included with the extruder?

The final quotation should identify the extruder, furnaces, tooling, handling and auxiliary machines, together with exclusions and installation responsibilities. The reference sheet does not establish the complete supply scope for every project.

What information is needed for an existing machine?

Prepare the machine nameplate, part identification, drawings or photos, and a description of the request. Visit Our Support for the installed-machine support checklist.
